I am a British national with a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Japanese Studies from the University of Stirling, Scotland (1996) where I studied at the Scottish Centre for Japanese Studies. I have been working as a full-time freelance translator for over 9 years and regularly translate for various firms, organizations and agencies worldwide, having developed particular expertise in the scientific, medical and technical fields. My portfolio is extensive and includes the translation of scientific and technical patents, clinical research/trial documentation, applications for new pharmaceuticals, market research/development of pharmaceuticals and medical devices, articles from various Japanese academic journals in the fields of medicine, chemistry, biochemistry and biology, and clinical case reports covering various diseases and conditions, drug treatments, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, radiography/imaging, and surgical procedures.
