Based in Scotland, a few miles west of Edinburgh - a boutique translation service animated by Ellen Kapusniak, a highly experienced professional Japanese to English translator.

Has a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Japanese Studies from the University of Stirling, Scotland (1996). She also attended the prestigious Chuo University in Tokyo, where she lived and studied for some time under the sponsorship of the Japan Society of Scotland. She then went on to teach, translate and interpret Japanese for a wide range of clients throughout the UK, notably for the Fujisawa Institute of Neuroscience at the University of Edinburgh, and for World Cancer Research Fund UK.

Ellen translates from both Japanese and French and regularly translates for various firms, organizations and services, with particular expertise in the scientific and technical arena. Her portfolio includes the translation of scientific, technical and chemical patents, clinical research/trials, Japanese government applications for pharmaceutical listings, environmental status reports, and many other highly specialised works as well as a wide variety of business, legal and general documentation. She has been working with the Japanese language for 10 years, and has published several internet articles on working as a translator.
